Start with what you know

Start with the packed parcel, not the product listing weight. Ask your chosen provider which routes currently accept your contents and destination.

Check the postcode and the local contact details required for delivery.

Check the details before paying

Measure the final length, width and height. Request the applicable volumetric divisor, rounding rule and minimum charge. Enter the confirmed figures in the Calculator; its default 5000 is only an example.

Ask for a written breakdown of the base quote, additional fees and any taxes or duties excluded. Compare quotes using the same parcel measurements. A low headline price alone is not enough to compare services.

Before paying, confirm tracking, compensation terms and what happens if delivery fails. Save the quote and parcel photos. Availability, costs and delivery times must be confirmed by your provider.
